LDPE has significantly more branching than HDPE. That makes the material less densely packed and generally softer, more flexible and more ductile.
Typical Characteristics:
Soft, Flexible, Good Moisture Resistance.

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene)
HDPE has relatively low molecular branching compared with LDPE, allowing the polymer chains to pack more tightly. This gives it higher density, stiffness and generally greater strength/rigidity than LDPE
Typical Characteristics:
Stiff, Rigid, Good Impact Resistance, Good Chemical Resistance, Good Moisture Resistance.
